Here is what we use in officer installation , as Historian-elect, you should assist the reporter in writing news releases and taking pictures at FFA activities, keep a record of photographs and articles published concerning the FFA and its members, and be responsible for compiling our FFA history. There are eight existing offices of the FFA. The Historian and Chaplain’s offices are two optional offices, and may not be found in every chapter. Each office has a symbol from the FFA emblem that they represent if you want to know what the symbols stand for, then look at page called, “FFA Emblem.”
President: Symbol – The Rising sun. The President leads the FFA chapter, runs meetings, and begins events with a word of gratitude.
Vice-President: Symbol – The Plow. The Vice-president has shared duties of the President to direct the work of the chapter, and is the chair of committees. The Vice-President also receives the jobs of the President in their absences.
Secretary: Symbol – The Ear of Corn. The Secretary takes a roll of all members and guests present at FFA meetings and events, as well as taking detailed notes of what goes on during those sessions.
Treasurer: Symbol – The Emblem of Washington. The Treasurer keeps an accurate record of expenses and income for the FFA chapter’s finances.

Reporter: Symbol – The Flag. The Reporter attends and records all events of what happens within the FFA chapter. The Reporter often writes articles for the local newspaper to be seen by the public, and puts together the scrapbook of each year in FFA.
Sentinel: Symbol – The Door. The Sentinel greets people prior to opening ceremonies, assits the President in maintaining order, and makes sure the room is comfortable to guests and members at all times.
Chaplain: Symbol – The Cross. (New office.) The Chaplain opens meetings, fundraisers, and FFA events with a prayer.

Historian: Symbol – Feather and Scroll. (New office.) The Historian should have a skill of creativity for things like advertising, designing logos, and creating posters. They also have a responsibility of helping out the Reporter complete the annual scrapbook of the members in the past year of FFA.
